Vodka Cranberry Spritzer - Crisp, Refreshing, and Easy to Make

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka (plain or citrus vodka works well)
  • 2–3 ounces 100% cranberry juice (not cranberry juice cocktail, unless you prefer it sweeter)
  • 3–4 ounces chilled soda water (club soda or sparkling water)
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice (about half a lime)
  • Ice (enough to fill the glass)
  • Optional sweetener: 1/2 to 1 ounce simple syrup or agave, to taste
  • Garnish: Lime wheel or wedge, fresh cranberries, or a sprig of mint

Method

  1. Chill your glass: If you have time, pop a highball or stemless wine glass in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes.
  2. Add ice: Fill the glass to the top with fresh ice. Cold ingredients make a better spritzer.
  3. Pour the vodka: Add 2 ounces of vodka over the ice.
  4. Add cranberry juice: Start with 2 ounces if you like it more bubbly, or 3 ounces for a deeper cranberry note.
  5. Squeeze the lime: Add 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice. It brightens everything and cuts the sweetness.
  6. Sweeten if needed: If you’re using unsweetened cranberry juice and want a softer edge, stir in simple syrup to taste.
  7. Top with bubbles: Add 3–4 ounces of chilled soda water. Pour gently to keep the sparkle.
  8. Give it a quick stir: A brief stir blends the flavors without knocking out the fizz.
  9. Garnish and serve: Finish with a lime wheel, a few cranberries, or a mint sprig. Serve immediately while it’s icy and effervescent.
